
I got the chance to drive one of the cabs that operates the giant cranes. We drove out over the river more than a hundred feet up with nothing separating us but a glass floor. Pretty scary and exciting!
With the commissioning of the last of its four new ship-to-shore cranes, the Georgia Ports Authority on October 23, 2013 invited local media to get a close-up look at the huge machines that arrived at the Port of Savannah in June and are working GPA’s Garden City Terminal.
