Catie Mafera, a New Hampshire native, has seven years of journalism experience with the Savannah Morning News and savannahnow.com. As a digital journalist, she worked with a web team to produce innovative content driving traffic to savannahnow.com and sister websites. An avid photographer, Catie covered breaking news, produced and edited video, coordinated the Spotted photography program, and managed social media content. She also does photography on the side, specializing in family portraits, landscape and event photography. Catie earned a B.A. in communication and a minor in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire and studied abroad at Corvinus University of Budapest.
Moving back to New England in December, she now works as the Director of Creative Content at American Fences, Inc. in Hooksett, NH, a fourth generation Mafera family owned business where she joins her sister, Aimee, president and CEO. Catie is creating and maintaining their image on social media networks and redesigning their website. She also handles marketing and inside sales.
Her passion for photography and videography continues, and she is always looking get that next awesome shot.
After being away from her roots for nearly a decade, Catie maintains a deep love for her New England sports teams by rabidly cheering for the Patriots, Bruins, and Red Sox and of course the UNH Wildcats.
